Exploring Youth Inclusion in Rural Areas: Erasmus+ Study Visit in Sardinia, Italy
Date: 7-11 October 2024
Location: Laconi, Sardinia, Italy
Italy, with its predominantly small villages and cities, presents challenges for young people seeking mobility and learning opportunities. Many youth are compelled to leave their rural communities in search of better prospects in larger cities.
To address this, the Italian National Agency collaborates with SALTO Inclusion & Diversity in a Strategic Partnership on Inclusion (LTA SPI), focusing on empowering organizations working with disadvantaged youth.
As part of this initiative, we invite you to join our Study Visit, which delves into the complexities of fostering youth inclusion in rural areas.
During the visit, we will explore an isolated region in central Sardinia. Local organizations and youth workers strive to provide learning opportunities for young individuals within the Erasmus+|Youth framework.
Aims and Objectives:
Increase Participation: Encourage more young people and organizations, especially newcomers, to engage with Erasmus+ programs.
Understand Challenges: Explore strategies for including rural youth in European youth projects and understand the obstacles they face.
Promote Accessibility: Highlight the role of European youth programs as tools for inclusion in rural areas.
Showcase Best Practices: Share successful approaches from rural youth work and existing projects.
Enhance Organizational Capacity: Strengthen organizations’ ability to work at the international level.
Foster Partnerships: Encourage collaboration among participants to develop Erasmus+ projects.
Join us in Laconi, Italy, for an enriching experience that combines workshops, case studies, and active learning methods to address the unique context of rural youth inclusion.
Together, we can explore solutions and create pathways for a more inclusive future! 🌟
