For several years, Las Niñas del Tul has been orchestrating cultural events in Granada province each summer, leveraging these as a conduit for youth inclusion and enlightenment.
Building on this foundation, we’re now inviting youths from various nations to partake in these cultural showcases, presenting their own traditions and customs.
Our primary goals are:
To invigorate active engagement and the mobility of youths, particularly those from socially inclusive backgrounds.
To cultivate a reciprocal comprehension among youths from disparate walks of life, thereby enriching local youths’ understanding of European citizenship and exposure to diverse cultures.
To offer an enriching intercultural and international educational experience, with an emphasis on youths who have limited opportunities. Volunteers will helm folklore-centric activities, predominantly teaching traditional dances from their homelands, and will also contribute to the ParapandaFolk folk music festival.
Living Conditions:
Lodging is arranged in a communal building designed for such purposes (resembling a hostel).
Bedrooms will be shared among 3 or 4 occupants.
Bathrooms are communal as well. Meals will be a group effort, with participants receiving funds to manage their own culinary needs.
The premises adhere to stringent guidelines regarding permissible activities and more. Access to the site is facilitated by public transport from Granada city.
Travel costs will be compensated following the European Solidarity Corps program’s policies, as determined by the distance calculator.
Skills Development: No specific expertise is required from participants, save for the basic ability to instruct others in their native traditional dances. All additional necessary knowledge will be imparted during the activity itself.
Ideal Participant Demographics: We’re seeking 12 young individuals (ages 18-30) from a variety of countries, encompassing diverse backgrounds and including those with limited opportunities.
