AGORA is a unique initiative by the European Women’s Lobby (EWL) that convenes young feminist enthusiasts from across Europe in Brussels for a transformative 5-day event.
The upcoming AGORA is scheduled for 9-13 September 2024, and we are currently inviting applications.
This program welcomes young women aged 18 to 30 who are eager to engage with fellow young feminists.
The 5-day interactive summer camp is designed to be a forum where young women can share ideas, bridge cultural divides, find inspiration, forge stronger bonds, enhance their abilities, and listen to the diverse voices of young feminists.
The goal is to nurture young women in Europe to become leaders in activism, providing them with a platform to exchange experiences, wisdom, and creative thoughts.
What exactly is AGORA, and is it the right fit for you?
AGORA’s mission is to rejuvenate and bolster feminist activism among young women in Europe. It’s a hub for workshops and networking that promotes unity, empowerment, and cross-border cooperation.
Rather than an academic course, AGORA is a haven for exchanging insights and crafting feminist tactics.
Facing current societal, economic, and political headwinds, EWL is dedicated to fostering the next wave of young feminists. AGORA is at the heart of this mission, striving to:
- Re-energize and strengthen the activism of young European women.
- Build bridges between young feminists of various backgrounds to enable shared learning experiences.
- Create an inventive environment for the next generation of feminist activists to grow.
- Foster unity, empower young feminist advocates, and support international collaboration to broaden inclusivity and elevate the collective voice of feminist networks across Europe.
- Explore feminist leadership concepts and the dynamics of power.
- Equip EWL with a deeper understanding of young feminists’ interests, necessities, and endeavors, incorporating these insights into EWL’s strategic planning and initiatives.
The AGORA experience lasts five days, providing a welcoming space for participants to exchange perspectives, spark inspiration, and refine their skills through collaborative workshops and knowledge sharing.
Guided by EWL and its partners, the program invites participants to lead their own workshops and sessions, alongside those conducted by EWL’s Policy and Campaigns team.
AGORA is all about collective creation, open dialogue, mutual reflection, and shared learning, all within a secure and inventive feminist environment.
