Project Summary
This endeavor seeks volunteers to aid in the conservation efforts of the historic Kysak Castle ruins located in Eastern Slovakia.
The remnants of this medieval fortress lie beneath the earth, invisible to the naked eye. The town of Kysak is dedicated to preserving this piece of cultural heritage.
The camp’s objective is to uncover the base of the castle’s tower, which is submerged underground, as part of an archaeological study.
Volunteers will participate in excavation, cleaning, and transporting materials such as sand, rocks, and water. No prior experience in construction or archaeology is necessary.
