Enhancing Mental Health through Mentorship
The “Supporting Volunteers’ Mental Health Through Mentoring” program is designed to empower organizations and their mentors to more effectively address the mental health requirements of volunteers. This is achieved by augmenting their capabilities in emotional and mental support.
The program also equips participants with the knowledge necessary to provide appropriate support throughout the various phases of a volunteer project’s lifecycle.
Participants of this training will develop skills to:
Instill resilience-building coping strategies in volunteers
Foster an environment conducive to open discussions on mental health
Identify early indicators of mental health issues in volunteers
Strategize for potential obstacles that volunteers might encounter

This training adopts a proactive stance on mental health, emphasizing its promotion and preventive care.
Venue and Schedule
The training session will take place at Hotel Majvik in Kirkkonummi, Finland.
Participants will arrive on Sunday, May 12, and the training will conclude on Friday, May 17.

Day 1: Exploring the essence of mental health and my contribution to its enhancement
Day 2: Understanding the impact of stress on myself and volunteers, and strategies to mitigate it
Day 3: Techniques for aiding volunteers at risk
Day 4: Establishing a robust support framework within my organization and personally
