Project Overview:
This initiative is dedicated to fostering the principles of social inclusion within a rural community nestled in the Italian Alps, Piedmont region.
Spanning a two-week period, volunteers will immerse themselves in the vibrant life of the Agape Ecumenical Center, a hub that orchestrates a variety of programs aimed at cultivating inclusive, multicultural, engaged, democratic, and cohesive societies.
Participants will lend their support across various operational sectors such as culinary services, sanitation, beverage management, dining setup (table arrangement, dishwashing), and general upkeep.
Living Arrangements:
Volunteers will be accommodated in shared living quarters, complete with communal bathroom facilities. They will receive three meals daily, access to Wi-Fi, bedding, and laundry services inclusive of detergents.
Travel logistics will be coordinated in conjunction with the Agape Ecumenical Center. Additionally, volunteers will benefit from insurance coverage and a stipend. Nearby urban centers include Pinerolo and Turin, both accessible via public transport.
Development Opportunities:
The endeavor includes several training sessions designed to equip and bolster the volunteers’ readiness.
An introductory meeting and a collective debriefing are planned, alongside opportunities for personalized guidance throughout the project’s duration.
Participants will be briefed on digital resources provided by the European Agency, specifically curated for international volunteers. Task-specific support will be rendered to ensure effective volunteer engagement, with each individual working closely with their designated sector supervisor.
Ideal Candidate:
Prospective participants should be available for the full two-week duration.
Selection will be based on applicants’ enthusiasm, eagerness to actively engage in project tasks, and willingness to contribute innovatively to their roles.
Candidates should be prepared for self-discovery, eager to collaborate with others, and open to acquiring new skills while stepping out of their comfort zones.
