The project revolves around a series of cultural and educational events and outdoor games organized by European volunteers in collaboration with Polish youth.
Volunteers will engage in organizing and leading activities for children and teenagers in the playgrounds of Bydgoszcz, aiming to foster cultural exchange and international understanding among local youth.
Additionally, the project seeks to break down language and cultural barriers, combat stereotypes about foreign cultures, and promote active recreation and international volunteering.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD, AND TRANSPORTATION ARRANGEMENTS
The “Wiatrak” Foundation will provide accommodation for volunteers, who will have the opportunity to bond while sharing rooms in the same facility.
Common areas such as the kitchen and bathrooms will also be shared. The foundation will cover pocket money, meals, transportation, accommodation, and travel expenses.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
Upon arrival, volunteers will participate in an introductory workshop organized by the “Wiatrak” Foundation, where they will learn about the foundation, meet the team, and understand their roles as participants, coordinators, and mentors.
Facilitators and mentors will organize a city game to familiarize volunteers with Bydgoszcz. Additionally, Polish language lessons may be offered to help volunteers navigate daily life in Poland.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
Ideal candidates for the project are motivated, open-minded, and creative individuals who are passionate about sharing their culture with children and young people.
