ECO-HOSTEL VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITY IN MONTE BARRO REGIONAL PARK
Overview:
Hostel Parco Monte Barro, an eco-hostel nestled in the heart of Monte Barro Regional Park at an altitude of 750m, invites volunteers to engage in environmentally sustainable activities.
The project entails diverse indoor and outdoor tasks, focusing on creative recycling, upcycling, hostel space development, and contributing to the preservation of a local TOAD colony.
Accommodation, Food, and Transport:
Pocket Money: €17 per day (covers travel expenses; keep all tickets and boarding passes).
Accommodation: Provided inside the hostel, triple/quadruple rooms shared with other volunteers.
Food: Exclusively VEGETARIAN lunch and dinner provided; extra food at the volunteer’s expense.
Training During the Activity:
On Arrival Training: First 7 days organized by Associazione Joint, the coordinating organization.
Mid-Term Evaluation: Completion of a form.
Final Evaluation: Youthpass Certificate and Glore Certificate awarded over 2 days.
Participant Profile:
Must be a resident or citizen of an EU country (including Italy).
Available for the entire project duration (02/03/24 – 02/04/24).
Experience in biology, animals, or the environment, or unemployed for over a year, from rural areas, or facing a disadvantaged economic situation.
Enjoys open-air activities and working with animals like TOADS.
Team player, comfortable with public interaction.
Proactive, with organizational and presentation skills.
Willingness to engage in manual work and get hands dirty.
Curious, open-minded, creative, ready to collaborate with young people and hostel guests.
