Innovation Jam” is a 3-day training program tailored for dynamic youth workers seeking to immerse themselves in innovation methodologies and equip themselves to ignite innovation within their organizations and communities.
Over recent decades, innovation processes have undergone scrutiny and systematization across various professional domains. By imparting this knowledge to youth workers, they can facilitate participatory innovation processes, thereby devising superior solutions for local and global issues in conjunction with young people and communities.
This course offers participants a chance to delve into various facets, including:
- Anticipating forthcoming trends.
- Addressing challenges in the field of youth work.
- Embracing creative thinking techniques.
- Employing innovation tools effectively.
- Identifying avenues for securing funding for innovation initiatives.
Learning Objectives:
- Grasping the advantages of creative thinking as a driving force behind innovation in youth work.
- Recognizing the significance of recognizing future trends that are pertinent to youth work.
- Acquiring practical experience with participatory innovation tools to elevate the quality of youth work and drive societal transformation.
- Enhancing readiness to apply innovation tools within their respective youth work contexts, particularly by tapping into Erasmus+ funding opportunities.
Format:
- A comprehensive 3-day in-person learning experience.
- Commencing with an online meeting with participants on December 13th from 10:00 to 11:30 CET.
- Followed by an online meeting with participants on January 31st from 10:00 to 11:30 CET.
- An optional facilitated open online Innovation Jam, organized post-training course, open to all participating organizations (with the possibility to engage additional colleagues) on February 16th from 10:00 to 12:30 CET.
Methodologies:
The program places a premium on cultivating a flexible environment, allowing ample space and time for creativity and nurturing an innovative mindset by:
