6-Week ESC Volunteer Program in Sweden
Duration: From April 29th, 2024, to June 10th, 2024
Commitment and Activities:
As an ESC volunteer, your commitment entails 35 hours per week over 5 days.
These hours will be dedicated to practical tasks like site preparations, construction, maintenance, and gardening, alongside participating in community rituals such as morning circles and silent sittings. You’ll also engage in ESC meetings and learning circles. Expect a mix of physical labor and outdoor work.
Time Off and Holidays:
Enjoy 2 days off each week, plus accrue 1.5 holiday days per month, totaling 3 days over the 6-week period.
Weekly Program:
A diverse weekly program awaits, featuring activities like dance, yoga, singing, meditation, reading groups, and movie nights. The community warmly welcomes your input and encourages you to share your interests and ideas.
Extra Benefits:
Ängsbacka offers the gift of Global Ecovillage Network membership to volunteers keen on further engagement with sustainability and regeneration. This includes access to the European Ecovillage gathering.
Practical Conditions:
Accommodation: Tents with communal facilities (showers, toilets, laundry, hangout spaces).
Meals: Three vegetarian and vegan meals per day prepared by Ängsbacka kitchen, with access to tea, coffee, fruits, and snacks. A private kitchen is available for personal use.
Environment: An alcohol- and drug-free community.
Accessibility: Convenient access by public transport, with the nearest village, Molkom, just 2 km away, offering amenities like supermarkets, gyms, and health centers.
Pocket Money: Participants will receive 6 EUR/day
